What is included in a Home Maintenance Checkup?
Much like a typical home inspection, the inspector will perform a visual inspection of key areas of the home, evaluating their performance and any signs of deterioration or potential maintenance. A report will be provided similar to the full home inspection report; however, only the areas below will be inspected and included:
Exterior facade of the home
Crawl space
Attic space (where visually accessible)
Electrical panel (need appropriate clearance in front)
Water heater
HVAC
How often should you have a Home Maintenance Checkup?
We recommend you have your home’s working components inspected every few years, Qualitas Home Inspections is glad to offer you a multi-year discount.
For New Construction Homes
We highly recommend you have your new construction home 3rd party inspected. Approximately 11 months following the closing of your home, we recommend you have another inspection to identify anything that might need to be investigated or repaired under the warranty typically provided by the builder. After these two critical inspections, we would recommend a routine of every two to three years having the Home Maintenance Checkup.
